Astrospectroscopy

Spectroscopy is the key to unlock the secrets of stars and other astronomical objects, I am attempting to try to unravel some of those secrets myself by developing the theory and computer modelling to analyse stellar spectra and this work is presented here.

All basic spectral “reduction” processing (converting from a camera “streak” image to a line spectrum) was performed using RSpec software (http://www.rspec-astro.com/).
